Intent to award sole source: Depuy Synthes Sales, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations under Statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, with: Depuy Synthes Sales Inc. 1302 Wrights Ln E. West Chester, PA, 19380-3417 The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by supplies available from one source. The objective of this sole source award is to procure for a 3-level ACDF for cervical disc replacement for C4-5, C5-6 & C6-7. Sole source is based on the proprietary nature of the implants needed based on patient anatomy. Cervical disc replacement must meet California Compliance requirements, have a modular bilateral retractor and have a carbon-fiber reinforced PEEK inter-body device. On-site support must be provided. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112; the large business size standard is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 8:00 am Pacific Time on April 12, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Tiffanie Sutgrey at contact@example.gov.
