This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 


Solicitation number 123A9426Q0043 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 3-row Sugarcane Cultivator.   The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service in Houma, LA has a need for a 3-row sugarcane cultivator to maintain all field research plots at the Ardoyne Research Farm. Timely cultivation of the field plots is critical to control weeds and ensure adequate drainage of the fields. The unit currently used is showing excessive wear and has become costly to repair. Detailed product specifications and requirements are as follows:
