TWC seeks grant Applications from eligible Applicants to create a statewide Distance Education Professional Development Center (DEPDC) that will deliver Distance Learning (DL) and Remote Learning (RL) training, technical assistance, and capacity building services for AEL Grantees and students. The DEPDC will: a) provide Professional Development (PD) training and technical assistance to AEL Grantees; b) support RL and DL capacity building activities undertaken by AEL Grantees; and, c) provide technical support training and technical assistance to eligible students and providers participating in either RL or DL AEL programming. An Eligible Applicant under this RFA is a United States-based entity that is: a) a LEA; b) a CBO; c) a volunteer literacy organization; d) an IHE; e) a public or private nonprofit entity that can provide AEL activities to eligible individuals; f) a library; g) a Public Housing Agency; and, h) an association or coalition of the agencies, organizations, institutions, libraries, or authorities described above. Nonprofit entities will provide verifiable evidence of its registration by the Texas Secretary of State as a nonprofit or other verifiable documentation, such as Internal Revenue Service Certification prior to grant execution (as applicable).
