This small business set-aside procurement seeks a contractor to remove an existing 2003 Heil rear-loading refuse compactor from a government-owned Mack Model MR6885 chassis and replace it with a new 40 cubic yard front-loading refuse compactor. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, and fluids, ensuring the new loader is primed and powder coat painted in one color. The scope of work includes providing operating and maintenance manuals as well as conducting training for government personnel. The government requires a trade-in allowance for the removed rear-loader, which will become the contractor's property. Logistics for delivery and pickup depend on the contractor's proximity to Fort Drum, New York, with the contractor assuming responsibility for transport if their facility is beyond a 150-mile radius. Proposals will be evaluated based on price and product quality, with optional add-ons available for hopper floodlights, dual amber flashing lights, and an ergonomic armrest. All offers must be submitted by March 3, 2006.
