Brand Name or equal If an item is identified as "brand name or equal," the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government s needs. Clearly identify the item by- (i) Brand name, if any; and (ii) Make or model number; (iii) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and (iv) Clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the requirements listed here. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications. Salient Characteristics of the 3D Printer: In no order of importance, the proposed product must (Have / Be / Able to): Selective laser sintering 3D printer with a minimum print volume of 165 x 165 x 300 mm (6.5 x 6.5 x 11.8 in). Have the option for a 30W laser package. Prints in at least the following plastic powder materials: Nylon 12, Nylon 11, TPU, Nylon 12 GF and Nylon 12 CF. Prints at least 110 micron layer thickness. Has two build chambers. Has two powder cartridges. Have a stand for the printer. Includes downstream equipment such as: A powder de-binder (e.g. Formlabs Sift) that reclaims unused powder. A part polishing system. (Eg. Formlabs Fuse Blast Polishing System and media). Can run on 120V circuit.
Accessories: Includes industrial vacuum appropriate for removing the debinder after printing. Include software equivalent to Formlab s Preform software for optimizing printing. Includes any cables, tubes, wires, etc. necessary for 3D printer functionality.
Services:
Includes a minimum of a 2-year warranty. Delivery
Delivery and receipt of the proposed items is anticipated to be directed to the location identified below. Confirmation of delivery location will be provided by the VA POC post-award. Delivery must be coordinated with VA POC (TBD) prior to any attempts at delivery. Any item that has not been coordinated will be turned away and any additional charges will be the responsibility of the sender/transportation company. Vendor responsible for conducting a site visit to verify logistics and loading dock access/egress.
Contractor shall include the PO# on the shipping label and packing slip to make sure it can be tracked when item is delivered to the MVAHCS.
