38 -- Overhead Bridge Crane Modification

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation FA4877-08-Q0187 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23 (iv) This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS set-aside under NAICS code 811310 and small business size standard $6.5 million (v) CLIN 1:Modify Existing U-Shaped Crane Structure: 1) Modify existing monorail type crane structure to be a bridge type to allow complete floor coverage under existing U-shaped crane structure 2) Reuse existing 1 ton crane and controls on new bridge structure 3) Provide shop drawings signed by structural engineer registered in the state of AZ (sealed drawings) of modifications to crane structure 4) Install all electrical wiring/conduit for required crane operations 5) Load test new/modified crane systems General notes: 1) All work shall be completed to the satisfaction of the project inspector 2) Work site shall remain secure after work hours 3) All work shall be accomplished between 0600 to 1500 hours Monday through Friday, unless otherwise approved in writing by the project inspector 4) The entire AMARG area is an area requiring controlled entry/access and badges will be acquired through the AMARG security manager Quotation shall include all applicable taxes, fees, and delivery charges.
