The McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for refurbishing and recertifying of two (2) each Pettibone model 60000SBX electric forklifts for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Forklifts originally m anufactured and rated for use in Class I, Group D, Division I and II atmospheres as determined by Underwriter Laboratories (UL) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and shall be formally recertified to the same UL standard after refurb ishment. MCAAP will transport the forklifts from the McAlester, OK to the vendor and from the vendor back to McAlester, OK after work is complete. Estimated period of performance is 90-120 days. Estimated issue date of solicitation is April 19, 2006. The p roposed contract is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. (See Numbered Notes 1). This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with far 4.502 and 5.102. Therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
