13. The Directorate of Contracting (DOC) Fort Campbell has a requirement for four (4) each aircraft towing tractors (tug), all wheel drive (AWD), diesel engine, with 8,000 lbs. drawer bar pull, E Style Pin Hitch 1 - Pin and yellow in color. Th e low profile tug is assigned NSN 1740-01-461-4279 and is sold commercially as Model TT-8D to airline industries by Eagle Industrial Truck Manufacturing, 27250 Kitty Hawk, Grosse Ile, MI 48138. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in a ccordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333924. Small business si ze standard is 750 employees. This sole source procurement is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requ irements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed to include assignment of the NSN. Responses received will be ev aluated and a determination by the Government of acceptability will be made. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the negotiation of a sole source contract with Eagle Industrial Manufacturing, Grosse Ile, MI. Responses are due b y 23 Septemeber 2005, 2:00 p.m. (CST).
