The Government plans to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Life Support International (LSI) located in Bristol, PA, for the service and inspection of a total of 19 life rafts and conversion kits for four of those rafts. Specifically, the contract covers 13 Hard-20 man life rafts, 6 Hard-7 man life rafts, and conversion kits for 4 of the Hard-7 man life rafts. This procurement is being conducted on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b), reflecting that no other supplier can meet the Government’s needs. The contract will be awarded unrestricted, without full and open competition, with a NAICS code of 488390 and a corresponding small business size standard of $35.5 million. Although this announcement is not a solicitation for competitive offers, interested firms capable of meeting the requirements may submit capability statements within five days from the notice date, by June 14, 2013. Submissions must be detailed and sent via email or fax only, with no phone inquiries accepted.
