The boots must be constructed from materials resistant to harsh decontaminating agents like sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide and are subjected to rigorous performance testing such as tensile strength, abrasion resistance, flexibility, leakage, and toxicological agent resistance. They are intended for use under various OSHA and EPA protective levels at multiple Army and research facilities. The contract calls for nine different sizes ranging from size 7 to 15, and all inquiries regarding the requirement are to be directed to the designated Army Contract Specialist via email.
