The contract is a presolicitation notice for the procurement or repair/modification of a check valve, designated by NSN 7H-4820-011498984, with a technical data package version 004 and a quantity of nine units, to be delivered FOB origin. The solicitation is managed by Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech, a division of the Department of the Navy, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Due to the restricted ownership of necessary technical data, the government is limited to approved suppliers as it is not cost-effective to acquire or reverse engineer the required data. As a result, only qualified vendors, products, or manufacturers meeting the qualification requirements at the time of award—outlined in FAR clause 52.209-1—will be considered. Interested parties can access applicable military and federal standards, handbooks, and related documentation via the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online platforms, though unique technical drawings are not available through these sources. The acquisition will not utilize FAR Part 12 commercial item procedures, but companies may still express interest and capability to fulfill the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of the notice’s publication. The point of contact for this procurement is Derek Ford, whose contact details are provided in the notice. The solicitation number is N0010426QUA03, with a response deadline of November 13, 2025. Additional information about qualification requirements is available through the contracting office, and the full announcement and updates can be accessed on the official sam.gov platform.
