The contract involves the procurement of 14 units of self-closing valves (NSN 1H-4820-017184326-X5, TDP VER 001) to be delivered to DLA Distribution Norfolk, Virginia. The Government retains full rights to the complete technical data package with no restrictions on data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing, making the parts eligible for full and open competition. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside, adhering to FAR clause 52.219-6, with the specific set-aside type outlined through appropriate FAR or DFARS clauses related to small business categories such as HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, economically disadvantaged women-owned, women-owned small business, or historically Black colleges and minority institution set-asides. Market research indicates that FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisitions do not apply; however, commercial item proposals may still be submitted within 15 days of the notice.
