This contract involves the procurement of four units of a fuel injector tester (NSN 7R-4910-016677734-SX, solicitation number N0038326QPB09) for repair or modification, with delivery terms FOB origin. The item is flight critical, and the Government lacks sufficient or accurate data to source this part from suppliers other than the currently approved source(s). Consequently, only those sources approved by the Government have been solicited for this contract. Potential new suppliers must submit detailed technical data and undergo a rigorous source approval process as outlined by the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) to be considered. This process is mandatory due to the critical nature of the item and the limited technical data available, and failure to submit all required documentation will result in disqualification from award consideration. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense through NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, based in Philadelphia, PA, with a response deadline of April 17, 2026. Due to the specialized nature of the equipment and government source approval requirements, awards are likely to continue with existing sources unless new sources can complete approval in a timely manner. Interested parties can access necessary military and federal specifications, standards, and other authoritative documents through official government resources such as the DOD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) or ASSIST-Online. The Government is not currently acquiring this item as a commercial product under FAR Part 12 but invites companies capable of meeting the requirements with a commercial equivalent to express their interest within 15 days of the notice. Direct inquiries can be made to the contracting officer, Chris Campellone.
