Full Description

This request is for the life-cycle replacement of the full mission ship simulator projection system. The current projection system was installed in 2019 and its replacement was scheduled for fy26/27 however this requirement has become urgent since USMMA has experienced 2 projector failures in one month recently due to the Samuels hall on-going building renovation. The projection theater is located in Samuel’s hall. Samuel’s Hall has been under construction and the projector platform has been inundated with tremendous amounts of dust and debris on twp separate occasions. The enormous amounts of dust a debris was sucked inside the projectors causing the internal failures. if we don't replace the projectors very soon we run the risk of more failures leaving the system nonoperational which will cause the senior midshipman's capstone classes to be canceled putting them in jeopardy of graduating. 30 days of sea-time are given to the midshipmen for taking the required bridge resource management class on the simulator as well as multiple stcw competencies required by the USCG in order for them to sit for license and graduate.
