Full Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting synopses and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Navy has a requirement for spares, repairs, upgrades and engineering services for the AN/KAX-1, AN/KAX-1A, AN/KAX-2 MARFLIR Systems. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with FLIR Systems, Inc. 25 Esquire Road, North Billerica, MA 01862-2598, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government does not own the data rights for the drawings of the system. This action will result in a Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price IDIQ contract with a 5-year ordering period. See Note 22 and 26. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 21 JUN 2005 on the NSWC Crane website at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
