The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking to award a contract through full and open competition for the COBRA JUDY Replacement (CJR) Mission Equipment, which includes a radar suite featuring active phased array X-band and S-band sensors, government-furnished communications systems, and other related mission components. The radar suite will incorporate a common backend for signal and data processing, as well as interfaces to other mission equipment. The winning contractor will be responsible for the design, production, integration, and testing of the mission equipment to ensure it is ready for shipboard integration by fiscal year 2009. Additionally, the contractor will handle the installation of the CJR mission equipment onto the ship, with the ship itself to be procured separately. The solicitation will also require engineering services. NAVSEA plans to issue a draft solicitation and supporting materials to industry for an approximately two-week review and comment period. During this period, a bidder’s conference will be held either in Washington, DC or Dahlgren, VA to clarify requirements and address questions regarding the solicitation. Interested parties are requested to express their interest and provide detailed contact information, including a single point of contact, electronic and physical mailing addresses, classified mailing address, CAGE Code, facility clearance level, and storage capability level. Further details will be communicated separately as the solicitation process progresses.
