Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE VEMCO BRAND FISH TAGS AS WELL AS VEMCO BRAND UNDERWATER RECEIVER VUE COMMUNICATIONS PACKAGE. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT IS FOR THE NOAA NW FISHERIES SCIENCE CENTER (NWFSC) FISH ECOLOGY DIVISION. NWFSC HAS STANDARDIZED ON VEMCO BRAND RECEIVERS. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 200 VEMCO RECEIVERS DEPLOYED IN PUGET SOUND. NWFSC NOW REQUIRES NEW RECEIVERS TO REPLACE A FEW THAT WERE DAMAGED OR LOST AND ENHANCE GAPS IN EXISTING LINES. AUTHORITY FOR PURCHASE ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS IS 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) ONLY ONE RESPONSIBLE SOURCE AND NO OTHER SUPPLY OR SERVICE WILL SATISFY AGENCY NEEDS. THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF LESS THAN $100,000.
