The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston plans to enter into sole-source negotiations with Diversified Technology, Inc. for services related to refining and delivering a demonstration model of Cross Field Radiation (CFR) technology. This contract aims to support the Critical Infrastructure Protection Center at SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston, focusing on improving electromagnetic spectrum management through advanced CFR technology. Diversified Technology, Inc. has an ongoing relationship with the center, having previously collaborated on testing, evaluating, and demonstrating CFR technology, particularly in revolutionary antenna design that reduces size and weight for applications in manned and unmanned multi-sensor platforms. This new contract represents an extension of earlier engineering work conducted under a prior contract and anticipates further development of the CFR antenna design throughout 2007. The planned contract is expected to be a firm fixed-price type and explicitly excludes competitive proposals, emphasizing its sole-source nature. The acquisition falls under NAICS code 334290 and FSC code AC64, which pertain to communications equipment manufacturing. This effort reflects the Department of Defense's ongoing commitment to enhancing electromagnetic spectrum reliability and power through innovative antenna technologies, ensuring advanced capabilities for naval applications. Interested parties may submit comments in writing to the designated contract specialist, but this notice primarily serves to inform about the intended procurement rather than solicit competition.
