This market survey, issued by the Department of Defense, seeks to identify additional sources for spare components for the AN/VIC-3 system. The specific requirements include the Indicator Control (NSN 5895-01-469-3352, P/N A3206697) and the Interface Unit (NSN 5895-01-469-6120, P/N A3206698). The intended contract structure will be a production requirement on an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity basis, with a First Article requirement for any companies not already qualified. Northrop Grumman Corporation is currently the sole source for these components. Interested suppliers must demonstrate their ability to provide items that are physically and functionally interchangeable with existing systems through documentation such as test results, previous purchase orders, or a statement from the current source. Because the Army does not have detailed technical data available, applicants must contact Major Ronald Claiborne to obtain and sign an acknowledgement form before receiving the necessary drawings for review. This action is a presolicitation market survey and not a formal request for proposal or invitation for bid, with a response deadline of June 18, 2004.
