The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York, is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors for the replacement of its existing radio paging system. The current Zetron system is approximately 20 years old and lacks necessary redundancy due to a hardware failure, which poses a risk to critical communications such as code blue calls. The project requires the provision of all labor, materials, and equipment to install a new Zetron 2200 system with redundant hot standby auto switch paging terminals, including specific hardware, Z-base software, and integration services. The scope of work involves a phased installation to ensure the paging system remains operational, requiring the sequential replacement and testing of the B-side and A-side components. All work must comply with FCC, OSHA, and NFPA standards. The period of performance is estimated at one week following the arrival of materials and notice to proceed. Interested vendors under NAICS code 334290 must provide a capability statement, product literature, and company registration details to be considered for a potential future request for quote.
