Full Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego), is modifying the subject synopsis to change the ordering period from four years to five years. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego), intends to award an indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity type contract with a firm fixed price pricing arrangement to M/A-COM, Inc. of Lowell, MA. The contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 6.302-1: Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contract will procure up to 75 each high power, two-way power dividers, part number PD89-0011-02N, and up to 150 each eight-way power dividers, part number PD89-0010-08N. The contract will include a four year ordering period. The power dividers are used with the AS-4127A/URC Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Shipboard Antenna System, and are capable of distributing 1.2 KW peak power to 200 W average power of radio frequency to 16 radiating elements. This contract is a follow-on to two previous contracts with M/A-COM, Inc. which were competitively awarded: N66001-96-D-0027 and N66001-01-D-5026. Use of any other contractor would result in substantial duplication of non-recurring engineering costs and delays for the Government associated with first article testing and shipboard qualification testing. This notice is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available. See notes 22 and 26.
