The contract pertains to the procurement of a single unit of an antenna assembly (NSN 7G-5985-017309492, TDP VER 001, REF NR 281451-04) with delivery terms FOB origin. The approved source of supply for this part is ARGON ST INC (CAGE 09XP2). Manufacture or repair of this component requires specialized test and inspection facilities to ensure ultra-precision quality essential for its function and system integrity. Because these tests and inspections involve unique capabilities that cannot be economically or reliably replicated or documented for competitive production, only specific Authorized/Qualified Repair and Manufacturing Companies (A/RMCs) classified as codes 3, 4, or 5 are considered valid for work on this part. This contract is planned to be awarded through a sole-source solicitation in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, reflecting the government’s intent to negotiate exclusively with the approved supplier due to the specialized nature of the product and required testing. However, interested parties are invited to express their interest and capability to meet the requirements within specified deadlines, with the understanding that the government’s decision not to compete remains discretionary. Additional information, including qualification requirements, is available from the contracting office at DLA Mechanicsburg, and standardized specifications and documents can be accessed through DoD's online systems such as ASSIST-Online or obtained via the DoD Single Stock Point. The solicitation does not follow commercial item acquisition procedures outlined in FAR Part 12 and emphasizes stringent qualification criteria at the time of award to maintain the required ultra-precision standards.
