The Department of Defense, through DLA Mechanicsburg, is issuing a presolicitation notice for the procurement of 17 circuit card assemblies under part number 10-4725-C1 and NSN 7H-5998-015389217. Due to the government's lack of data rights and the impracticality of reverse engineering the components, the agency intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with L-3 Technologies under FAR 6.302-1. Delivery for these supplies is designated as FOB Origin. While the government intends to work with a single source, this notice allows other responsible sources to submit capability statements or proposals within 45 days of publication to demonstrate their ability to meet the requirement. Additionally, interested parties have 15 days to notify the contracting officer if the requirement can be satisfied with a commercial item, as the government is not currently utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for this acquisition.
