The VA VISN 22 Network Contracting Activity, Long Beach, California intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Philips Color Kinetics. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1-only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 335122. The VA San Diego Healthcare System intends to purchase a complete LED-based lighting system, 23 inch and 43 inch fixture lengths, with multiple jumper cable and connector options to accommodate nearly any lay out or office workspace configuration as described in the architectural details. It shall be manufactured by Philips. All products associated with installation and control of the LED fixtures is to be provided by a single manufacturer. Manufacturer shall provide mechanical, electrical, and environmental specifications along with system wiring diagrams and installation instructions. Manufacturer shall be able to provide documentation supporting the product's compliance with third-party regulations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
