The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award on a sole source basis to Electronic Marine Systems, Incorporated, 800 Ferndale Place, Rahway, NJ to provide current production replacement equipment for the dredge YAQUINAs control and monitoring system. EMS is the proprietary or legacy owner of the original, Tracor monitoring system. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No RFQ will be issued based on this notice. However, all information received within five (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. All contractors are required to be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Register before award as required by DFARS 204-7300.
