The government intends to procure the tasks required to test and certify the software / firmware for the newly designed Fiber Optic Gyro based Attitude and Heading Reference Unit, CN-1761/A (Commercially know as LISA 200C) as a SOLE SORCE, Firm-Fixed Price effort under terms and conditions set forth in solicitation number W15P7T-05-R-F015. Testing/certification results will be submitted via technical reports/data items. The software testing efforts involve the full certification of the CN-1761/A to DO-178B Level A. The system completed First Article Testing and is waiting for Air Worthiness Release (AWR). This Flight Critical system required DO-178B Level A certification. Without this certification and consequently with the AWR, the system would n ot be able to field. This SOLE SOURCE acquisition will be IAW FAR 6.302-1 and U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to Lital S.P.A. Navigation Systems Division, Northrop Grumman Corporation; however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by t he agency. See Numbered Note 22.
