Date Issued: August 8, 2026
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Manhattan, Kansas, at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, until 3:00 P.M., on September 8, 2026, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for:
5th Street & Leavenworth Street
Pedestrian Improvements
PD2102, WA2610 & ST2611
Project will include the complete reconstruction of the intersection at N 5th Street and Leavenworth Street, pavement restoration, stormwater system improvements and water distribution system improvements. The work includes approximately 1,256 sqyd of concrete pavement, 364 sqyd of sidewalk, 466 LNFT of 15” and 24” storm sewer, almost 4,000 sqyd of asphalt mill and overlay from N Juliette Avenue to N 4th Street, installation of signage, pavement markings, permanent sod, removal and reassembly of an existing limestone wall, and 800 lnft of 8” water line, water services, valving and fire hydrants.
TIME LIMIT:
Early Start Date: September 30, 2026
Late Start Date: October 14, 2026
Milestone: Work complete for PD2102 & WA2610 by March 1, 2027
Final Completion: April 12, 2027
