The Department of Defense, through DLA Land and Maritime, is conducting pre-solicitation activities for a power supply procurement under solicitation number SPE7LX26R0027. This effort involves the potential establishment of a Long Term Contract or Indefinite Quantity Contract to secure various components identified by specific National Stock Numbers. The agency is currently performing extensive market research to evaluate company size, pricing structures, and the ability of potential suppliers to provide certified cost or pricing data and commercial item status. To optimize the procurement process, a Class Determination and Findings memorandum has been issued to authorize the consolidation of sole source contract requirements valued between 2 million and 100 million dollars. This consolidation aims to reduce administrative overhead, improve delivery schedules, and enhance overall warfighter readiness. The procurement process includes a mandate for subcontracting plans to incorporate small businesses and is supported by detailed market research spreadsheets to determine estimated annual demand and approved source capabilities.
