65--Fibroscan System

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Sandhill Scientific, Inc. to provide and deliver a FibroScan system that will be used in the evaluation of patients with chronic liver and liver-related disease. It uses vibration controlled transient elastography to determine the degree of fibrosis. This announcement is for products the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source IAW FAR Part 6.302-1. The corresponding purchase order will be firm fixed price and F.O.B. Destination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it can meet and exceed the requirements above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM (EST) Monday September 15th, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however apart from the responses received from this notice, a determination by the VA not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the VA's discretion. If no responses are received, the GLAC will then proceed with the sole source negotiation with Sandhill Scientific, Inc.
