Full Description

The VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Central Acquisition Service intends to procure sole source with GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, 8200 W. Tower Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a software upgrade to the existing Case 8000 Stress test machines located at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. Upgrading the operating system is an ISO security requirement to allow stress test results to be sent across the Wide Area Network (WAN). NAICS code 423450 applies to this procurement with a business size standard of 500 employees. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can satisfy this requirement must supply information about their capabilities to the Contracting Officer no later than 4:30pm EST, 9/14/2005. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government and can be sent via fax or e-mail. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
