NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 4, intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to Olympus America Olympus America, Inc., 3500 Corporate Parkway, P. O. Box 610, Center Valley, PA 18034-0610, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1, to provide 1 EA Olympus America Endo-Bronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopy (EBUS) Scope (BF-UC180F ) and 2 EA Olympus America EBUS Ultrasonic Probes (UM-S20-17S and UM-S20-20R-3) to be used at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center (VAMC). Olympus America is the only manufacturer of the EBUS Scopes and Probes that are compatible with the Scopes and Probes currently being used at the Philadelphia VAMC. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS; a solicitation package is not available. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition is attainable, is more advantageous to the Government, and must be received by the Contracting Officer, in writing no later than July 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. EST. All inquiries and submittals must be sent via email to contact@example.gov . No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339113.
