65--MTS Insight Test Systemfor the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital Hines, ILIntent to Sole Source

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source buy with MTS Systems Corporation, of Eden Prairie, MN, for the MTS Insight Testing System, in connection with mission objectives of Special Projects, within the Research Department at the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital Hines, Illinois. To the best of our knowledge MTS Systems Corporation is the only manufacturer that provides equipment for testing of Cadaveric Specimens. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334519. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements aforementioned, then firms must furnish detailed information about its products and or services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and or services. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer within (10) calendar days from the date of this synopsis publication. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, to include FDA approval/compliance certification.
