Full Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with NxStage Medical, Inc. of Lawrence, MA to furnish and install one (1) NxStage System composed of NxStage Cycler, Fluid Warmer, OneView Accessory and stand for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 334510 - 500 employees. Special features required by the Medical Center include but are not limited to the following: the capability of providing clearance and fluid removal continuously for 24 hours a day operation and at a much slower rate than intermittent hemodialysis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within six (6) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to +1 (555) 000-0000.
