Full Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Philips Healthcare/Philips Medical Systems, 3000 Minuteman Road, Andover, MD 01810-1099, to have them furnish and install the Philips Model M3151 Information Center Client Rel. L.0, along with Philips Large touch Panel Displays, as a turnkey requirement. It is essential to the Government's needs that it purchase the Philips M3151 Information Center Client Release L.0 , that contains A16 patient capability; C01 dual display; H10 PC Hardware; and H20 UPS Hardware, along with Large Touch Flat Panel Displays, and other associated hardware for use on 4E ICU. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System is currently standardized on the use of this manufacturer's brand monitoring system throughout the hospitals. All patient care areas that conduct heart monitoring use Philips Rel L.0 because it is essential that the monitoring system is cross-compatible between units and be compatible with PICIS nurse charting system. This purchase will correct the patient safety issues that currently exist on 4E ICU by allowing healthcare providers the opportunity to silence alarms and view details of the patient's rhythms without leaving the patient's area and without creating HIPPA issues. In addition Philips is the Sole Exclusive Seller and installer of the above referenced equipment. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest; accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 3/23/2012 COB. Responses should be sent to contact@example.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
