INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 6.302-1(c) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Getinge USA Sales, LLC, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c): "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed procurement is for the purchase of sterilization and associated equipment for reusable medical instruments/equipment at a newly constructed Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic. The size/utility requirements and other pertinent aspects (plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, office space, etc.) have been taken directly into the detailed design considerations of which the construction contract has been awarded. The final plans required specific measurements for required equipment. Cut sheets specific to the brand name make and model were provided to the developer to avoid construction delays. - Equipment must be fully compatible with current site utilities and plumbing; no adjustments in construction can be made without extreme impact on operations and finances. See attached approved Sole Source document for details. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339113 and the size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
