SOLE SOURCE FOR T6 VACUUM FORMING OVEN The Detroit VA Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, Michigan 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Provel, 2082 Bettas Road, Cleelum, Washington 98922-0302. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a T6 Automated Thermo former. This T6 Automated Thermo former is used to fabricate Custom prostheses utilizing computer-aided design/computer-Aided Manufacturing technology. This new VFO needs to augment the capability to produce custom made prosthetic sockets. This new piece of equipment needs to interface with Ohio Willow CAD/CAM system. The equipment must be able to fabricate in-house custom made prostheses for the veteran population. The machine must fit in the room where the oven is small and space is a vital concern. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address http://www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely the discretion of the government.
