The Service Area West VISN 18 Network Contracting Activity, Phoenix, AZ has requirements for eyeglasses NAICS Code 339115 and PSC 6540 for veterans for the VA Southwest Healthcare Network (VISN 18) for the following medical centers: Amarillo VA Health Care System, Amarillo, TX; El Paso VA Health Care System, El Paso, TX; New Mexico VA Health Care System, Albuquerque, NM; Northern Arizona VA Health Care System, Prescott, AZ; Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, AZ; West Texas VA Health Care System, Big Spring, TX; and the Phoenix VA Health Care System, Phoenix, AZ and is seeking Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business sources under Public Law 109-461. The VA anticipates a single award will be made based on best value to the government to best meet the needs for the veterans in VISN 18. We require services from a provider that can accept telephonic credit card orders. Of utmost importance is that the eyeglasses fabricated by the Contractor are of high quality and are delivered within (2-3) days after receipt of order. Upon the direction of VA, delivery of eyeglasses may be directly to the Eye Clinic, to Prosthetics, or to the patient's place of residence (at no extra charge to the Government for routine delivery to any of the above destinations). Batching of deliveries will not be authorized. Contract duration period is anticipated to be April 1, 2012 or date of award through March 31, 2013 with four (4) option years through March 31, 2017. Public Law 109-461 requires registration and certification in http://www.vetbiz.gov at the time of the solicitation closing to be eligible for award. This is NOT a solicitation but is intended as market research and Sources Sought only to locate potential SDVOSB businesses to determine if this requirement is commercially available from these types of businesses. Responses to this sources sought notice should be emailed to contact@example.gov not later than August 26, 2011. The Government will treat all information you submit as proprietary information. This Sources Sought notice is posted on Federal Business Opportunities and it is available and also highly recommended that all potential offerors register on the VA Vendor Portal located at https://www.vendorportal.ecms.va.gov/eVP.
