Full Description

XR80: 8 Mpixel, research grade, sidemount TEM CCD camera sytem including: Tem interface, lens and camera Computer, display, printer AMT software with unlimited desktop license The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System, Gainesville, FL intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis of a XR80: 8 Mpixel, research-grade, sidemount TEM CCD camera system from Advanced Microscopy Techniques, 3 Electronics Ave, Danvers, MA 01923. Equipment is for the VA Medical Center Laboratory, Gainesville, FL. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor or product will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge Advanced Microscopy Techniques is the only company that can provide this specific equipment. The XR80: 8 Mpixel, research-grade, sidemount TEM CCD camera system is the only approved updated camera to be use for electron microscope (NAICS 334119). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any vendor that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 27, 2010, 11:00 am, from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the NF/SG VHS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Advanced Microscopy Techniques as noted herein. Cost associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
