PROCUREMENT TITLE: DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging INTENT TO AWARD: The Department of Veterans Affairs (NCO 19), 6162 S. Willow Drive, Greenwood Village, CO 80111, intends to award one (1) purchase order on a sole source basis, to Medi-Physics, Inc, for DaTscan Radioactive Agent for Diagnostic Imaging.
BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION: The Salt Lake City Healthcare System (SLCHCS) located at 500 Foothill Blvd Salt Lake City, UT 84148 is currently sourcing generic Ioflupane I-123 from the local Cardinal Health radiopharmacy, under contract #36C25922D0042, order #36C25926N0073. Recent production issues of the generic product have caused delays with patient scheduling and imaging. The VASLCHCS is seeking to establish a contract with Medi-Physics, Inc. for the acquisition of DaTscan I-123 to circumvent production issues, ensure timely completion of nuclear medicine orders indicated for Ioflupane I-123.
