The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 7 in Charleston, South Carolina, intends to award a sole source contract to Progenics Pharmaceuticals, Inc. for the procurement of Piflufolastat F 18 pharmaceuticals, marketed as Pylarify. The contract has an estimated award date of February 1, 2022, and relates to NAICS code 325412, which covers pharmaceutical manufacturing. This notice indicates the government's plan to negotiate exclusively with Progenics Pharmaceuticals without a competitive bidding process for this requirement, although the government is open to receiving proposals relevant to future procurements until January 20, 2022, at 9:00 am EST. The proposed contract aims to secure Pylarify, which suggests its strategic importance in the Department of Veterans Affairs' medical services. Interested parties, particularly Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SD/VOSB) authorized distributors, are invited to submit a Letter of Authorization to the contracting officer, Nochelle Wilson, by email. Nochelle Wilson serves as the point of contact and oversees this procurement from the network contracting office based in Augusta, Georgia. The notification clarifies that the decision to forego competitive bidding rests solely with the government, emphasizing the sole source nature of this acquisition and its critical role within the agency’s pharmaceutical supply operations.
