Full Description
1. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) San Francisco Health Care System (4150 Clement St, San Francisco, CA) and the South Santa Rosa VA Clinic (2285 Challenger Way, Santa Rosa, CA) require full service dental laboratory support for fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. Services include fabrication, repair, relines, custom shading, implant prostheses, and digital dentistry workflows (including photogrammetry).
2. Purpose of This Notice
This Sources Sought is issued to identify qualified, capable, and interested vendors. Responses will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy. This is not a solicitation.
3. Minimum Essential Requirements
Interested vendors must demonstrate capability to provide:
A. Full service dental laboratory fabrication, including: Complete and partial dentures (conventional and digital) Fixed prosthodontics (PFM, zirconia, lithium disilicate, metal-based restorations) Implant-supported prostheses (abutments, overdentures, all-on-X) Removable partial denture frameworks Diagnostic wax-ups (digital or conventional) Occlusal guards and related appliances Photogrammetry and digital scan integration for implant workflows
B. Geographic Proximity

C. In House Fabrication & No Subcontracting All work must be performed in-house within the continental United States. No subcontracting, no trans shipment, and no outsourcing to other laboratories.
D. Courier Pickup & Delivery Requirements Daily, in person courier service (non-subcontracted) between both VA facilities. Same day pickup for orders placed before 4:00 PM PST. Temperature-controlled transport for impressions, wax-ups, and prostheses.
E. Turnaround Times (Anticipated)

F. Quality, Materials, and Standards
Vendors must be able to: Use dental materials equivalent to or exceeding ISO, ANSI/ADA, and FDA standards Meet VA and Joint Commission standards Provide noble or high noble alloys for metal prostheses Maintain a formal Quality Control Plan
G. Digital Dentistry Requirements
Vendor must support: CAD/CAM workflows STL file acceptance Carbon or equivalent 3D printing Photogrammetry-driven full arch implant workflows Virtual treatment planning using intraoral scans merged with CBCT datasets
H. Personnel Qualifications At least three Certified Dental Technicians (CDTs) must be employed. Staff must be trained in both conventional and digital prosthodontics. Vendor must provide on-site or in-lab educational opportunities for VA residents.
