The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Notice to gather information from small business manufacturers regarding their ability to supply specific medical equipment, including microdebriders, instrument trays, and universal cleaning caps for handpieces. This RFI aims to identify qualified suppliers under NAICS code 339112, which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. The government is interested in understanding the market's capabilities, pricing, delivery timelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as the Non-Manufacturer Rule and limitations on subcontracting. Respondents are encouraged to provide detailed information about their company size, business classifications (e.g., Veteran-Owned Small Business or Woman Owned Small Business), manufacturing capabilities, and any existing federal contracts, as well as offering feedback on the draft product characteristics. This notice is strictly for planning purposes and is not a solicitation or an offer. Information submitted will help the VA determine future acquisition strategies and may lead to additional requests or solicitations. Responses should include a capabilities statement addressing the salient characteristics of the required items, business size status, country of origin, and whether the items are commercial off-the-shelf products. Pricing data is requested solely for market research and will not influence award decisions. All responses must be submitted by June 19, 2026, to the identified contracting officer via email. This RFI reinforces the VA’s commitment to engaging small businesses and ensuring transparency in their procurement process.
