6515--Arctic Sun Temperature Management System

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6, 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton, VA 23667, intends to award a sole source agreement/contract to C.R. BARD, INC (BD). for the Salem VA medical center. This contract action is for Arctic Sun T Sat Temperature Management System. This device is specific to the hospital s post-cardiac arrest algorithm and the facility trains to this specific device. The current system in-house is broken and needs to be replaced. Replacing with the same system will keep costs down, eliminate a training burden, and prevent any delays in patient care while a new system is accessed/installed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334510 with a business size standard of 1250 Employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement by submitting such information by the 3rd day of the posted notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). An authorized dealer/distributor letter must be submitted with supporting evidence. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be used to determine acquisition strategy. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
