The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a market research effort through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified small business vendors, including Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), capable of supplying Karl Storz brand or equivalent cystoscopy instruments compatible with the Stryker 1688 AIM 4K Swivel Head Camera used at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. The instruments required include a range of rigid cystoscopes, working elements and sheaths, obturators, examination insert tubes, biopsy optical forceps, foreign body graspers, and various connectors and adaptors. All equipment must be new, FDA-cleared, autoclavable where appropriate, constructed from surgical-grade materials, and comply with relevant ISO and AAMI standards to meet VHA clinical use requirements. Interested vendors are asked to provide detailed information demonstrating their capability to supply the required instruments, including company details, registration status, business size and type, experience with surgical or endoscopic instrument supply, compatibility statements, product literature, delivery estimates, warranty information, and any existing government contract vehicles. Responses to this notice will assist the VA in determining the best acquisition strategy but will not result in a contract award. The place of performance is the Syracuse VA Medical Center, and submissions are due by May 25, 2026. This market research does not obligate the government to purchase or reimburse costs related to the responses.
