6515--EQUIPMENT - SPECIALIZED DOSIMETRY DEVICE

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Network Contracting Office 2, is conducting market research to procure specialized dosimetry devices for use in its Laboratory Department. This action is currently in the form of a Sources Sought notice and a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source contract, meaning it is not a formal solicitation for bids or proposals. The government has indicated an intent to award a sole source contract to Sun Nuclear Corporation, as preliminary research suggests they are the only vendor capable of providing the proprietary devices required for existing VA-owned machines. The procurement includes several specific items such as the SRS MapCheck, StereoPhan Package with MRI Support, OMR-MultiMet-WL Cube, Ava Phantom, and various other specialized phantoms and web-based training.
