Scott Brickey Contracting Officer 36C24822Q0424 Solicitation Questions Page 3 of 3 Drifting is often associated with mounting structure deficiencies, will it be possible to verify structural integrity, and will it be strengthened if required, to avoid future issues? Drifting is due to failing/end-of-life pneumatic brakes in the existing Stryker Booms. The new generation is electric only. Who will provide the cover to close the ceiling for two different suppliers? Contractor shall be responsible for the whole requirement, turn-key solution, which was requested by FMS chief and Biomed leadership due to complexity. When will we be able to visit to review on site conditions? Contact Contracting Officer, Scott Brickey at contact@example.gov to visit site prior to RFQ Closing Date. Are ceiling access panels hospital or vendor provided? No, the existing tandem Stryker mount that also supports/holds the OR Lights and OR Monitors isn t being replaced, only the surgical Boom, which will require the existing Stryker Tandem Mount. We aren t replacing the OR lights or OR Monitors so we can t replace the Stryker mounts that are already installed. Please see image. The Tandem Mount from Stryker that s already installed is supporting the LIGHT BOOM AND MONITOR BOOMS. We are only replacing the Stryker Boom. Only Boom circled in red being replaced and must be compatible (Form, Fit & Functionality) with the existing tandem mount. Can you please provide electrical, structure, and HVAC plans? N/A Can you please provide COMM closet information? N/A Can you please provide photos of the existing equipment in the rooms? N/A Will all connections be plug in play or will we have to run any new connections (ie electrical, communications, data, med gas)?? Offeror must complete entire requirement and yes this requires new electrical, comm, data, and med gas to be run. VA FMS doesn t have the ability to conduct this type of project. FMS/Biomed engineering chief stated, must be turn-key project. Pull permits, conduct all inspections, construction, all required steps handled through their team. How many Rooms will we be given to work in at one time? Probably only one room at a time to reduce impact on Veterans that have scheduled procedures. Will need to be able to work on weekends and after OR Hours, 9pm.
