Full Description

This is a notice of contract action (NOCA). This is not a solicitation for quotes. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this NOCA or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this NOCA is to notify industry of the VA s intent of contract action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially-qualified sources and their size classifications. Notice of contract action: Miami VA Contracting intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract under FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Edwards Lifesciences for SAPIEN 3 Ultra Transcatheter Heart Valves (various sizes) for the Miami VA Medical Center. The estimated value of the acquisition is ~$500k. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirements should submit a capability statement, providing clear and convincing evidence supporting the assertion, and be appropriately licensed/certified. Edwards Lifesciences asserts that these valves are the only commercially-available, balloon-expandable, transcatheter heart valves.
