The Department of Veterans Affairs, on behalf of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to GE Medical Systems Information Technologies for the procurement of GE Case 6.5 Cardiac Stress test machines. This contract is a brand name only acquisition made through the Federal Supply Schedule, aimed at replacing the current two GE Case 6.5 machines in the Syracuse VAMC Cardiology Department, which are now at the end of their lifecycle and no longer serviced by GE. The procurement includes two units each of several specific product components such as CASE V6.7 systems, window packages with displays, stress AHA modules, 12SL Interpretation packages, power cords, language sets, and installation services. Although this notice signals an intent to sole source the contract, it is not a solicitation for quotes; however, it allows all responsible sources to submit capability statements for consideration. Those interested must submit their statements by 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on September 8, 2022, to the contracting officer, Morgan Weeks, via email. The government reserves the sole discretion to determine whether to proceed without competition based on these responses.
