AI Contract Overview
The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center is seeking additional components for the Leksell stereotactic system to enhance its capacity for performing Deep Brain Stimulation procedures, ensuring precision, safety, and compatibility with modern neurosurgical standards. The required equipment includes critical hardware such as the Leksell Vantage Head Frame, Arc System, Cross-Hairs, Sterilization Tray, Drive Headstage and Cable, ECoG HeadBox, HeadBox Holder, and associated accessories, all of which must meet exact technical specifications. The Drive and Recording HeadStage must be a single integrated assembly capable of simultaneously driving up to five microelectrodes while measuring Local Field Potentials and acquiring unfiltered, high-frequency spike and low-frequency signals across 10 channels, with the ability to expand beyond 16 channels. Signal processing must occur with one-micron accuracy, filter and amplify brain signals from up to a foot away from the patient’s head, and be fully shielded using tungsten or equivalent materials to eliminate electromagnetic interference. The system must operate seamlessly with the Alpha Omega Neuro Omega platform and be compatible with Rosa ONE Brain and Leksell Frame systems without requiring frame manipulation for trajectory adjustments, allowing electrode implantation without removing cannulas or altering placement. All components must be sterilizable in accordance with Robert Koch Institute standards, feature a single cable connection to the Neuro Omega platform without adaptors, and function both with and without stereotactic frames. This Request for Information is issued under FAR Part 12 with the NAICS code 339113 and solicits responses from manufacturers, distributors, or providers of equivalent solutions, requiring full compliance with the non-manufacturer rule per 13 CFR 121.406(b). Respondents must provide detailed documentation confirming their status as authorized distributors of the original equipment manufacturer, including a signed letter of authorization, along with their business size classification under NAICS 339114 and socioeconomic certifications such as SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, or HUBZone status. Companies that do not manufacture the items must demonstrate ownership or possession of the products consistent with industry practice, confirm whether they exceed 500 employees, and disclose any waivers obtained. Respondents are required to submit a no more than ten-page capability statement that includes their wholesale trade engagement, ownership procedures, subcontracting breakdowns, modifications made to the products, and existing federal contract information including GSA or NAC numbers. All submissions must be emailed
