AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 10 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Trillamed LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and authorized distributor for Omnicell, Inc. The requirement is for two Omnicell Pharmacy Carousels and associated components, including central pharmacy managers, label printers, barcode scanners, and bio-ID readers, as well as the deinstallation of existing units. This equipment is essential for integrating with the medical center's current infrastructure, which connects to over 80 automated dispensing cabinets. The procurement falls under NAICS code 339112 and is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Because the system requires proprietary software and OEM-certified technicians for maintenance, the government has determined that only this source can meet the specific technical requirements. This notice serves as an intent to negotiate and is not a request for proposals. Interested parties must provide evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government by August 24, 2026.
